This introductory workshop is designed to empower first-time buyers considering a home purchase. The presentation introduces participants to the various steps in the homebuying
process including assessing readiness, preparing finances, understanding credit, saving for down payments, and navigating the market.
We discuss the pros and cons of renting vs. buying, how to create a spending plan, and strategies for repairing credit (including the
Avalanche and Snowball methods). The session also covers market research, loan options, pre-approval, shopping for a home, and the purchasing process. The workshop is designed
to give attendees immediate takeaways to help them get ready to buy their first home.
